Known as the Bahamas' "Family Islands,” the Abacos offer a peaceful, relaxed, and very safe paradise of exceeding beauty in sunny, Caribbean warmth year ‘round. While the nightlife of Nassau and Freeport is a short airplane hop away, Guana is ideal for peacefully enjoying the Caribbean’s natural wonders and beauty. Great Guana Cay is accessed by a 30 minutes’ ferry ride from Marsh Harbour. Offshore of Great Guana on the Ocean side by about 100 feet is one of the best-preserved coral reefs still thriving in the Caribbean region. Scuba diving and snorkeling on the magnificent Abaco reefs are major attractions. With the Atlantic Ocean just beyond the beach, deep-sea fishing is always nearby. For evenings out, there are small clubs and night spots in Marsh Harbor, but those seeking night-time excitement would want to be in Nassau or Freeport rather than the more-quiet Abacos. But there is still plenty to enjoy and experience in the Abacos: There are many businesses that rent boats in the area, whether small fishing boats, small boats, etc. You can rent a boat in Marsh Harbour, which has the advantage of allowing you to travel to the island of Guana without needing to take the ferry. On the other hand, renting a boat on the island of Guana at Dive Guana is very convenient to the house. You can also rent fishing rods and equipment and/or snorkeling gear with the boat. There are some fishing rods and equpiment in our house in the main storage area, but they might not be fully prepared. |

Famous for its all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet on Sundays (called a pig roast, but really just a BBQ buffet).
